    Piercing Regrets?

It may not seem like the most glamorous reason to see a facial cosmetic surgeon in Scottsdale, Arizona, but piercings by their nature can change into more than a nuisance over time.

The most common piercing-related reason a patient may come to my office in Scottsdale is for "stretched" or even torn ear piercings.  In many cases, nobody is to blame other than jewelry designers of the 80's who promoted heavy dangly earrings for more than a decade.   Maybe the more recent fad of placing "discs" , gauges or grommets in the ears has left you with a misshapen reminder of your more carefree youth.

Or perhaps you are among the many that may have felt that facial piercings of the lip, nose, eyebrow or more were risk-free and now see that even with the posts removed, the holes either do not completely close or they leave an obvious depressed scar.

    DO NOT DESPAIR!

In most cases, piercing repairs of the ear lobes, lip, eyebrow and cheek are safe, quick and trouble-free.  Usually, I will see a patient for cosmetic surgery repair at my office in Scottsdale and after a consultation and consent, the repairs can be performed during the same visit for all areas.  This is done using sterile, fine surgical technique and results in most cases in an invisible or nearly invisible scar.

Sutures are removed after 5-7 days and if the patient desires, ear lobes can be re-pierced after no less than 6 weeks.  Of course, I prefer to perform any re-piercings myself (at no additional cost) in order to make certain the new site does not interact with the repair area.

Even these seemingly simple procedures, however, are complex and there is a noticeable difference in quality from surgeon to surgeon.  No matter how large or small the operation, I have a meticulous eye and use the finest technique to achieve the best results.

Call my office and schedule a time for me to evaluate your piercing.  In most cases, you can walk out of my office that day with your repair complete and on your way to enjoying your new look!
