    Earlobe Repair

The ears aren't just for jewelry!  In fact, they are an important part of our system of hearing, they frame the face, and because they continue to grow with age, can be considered indicators of aging.  Changes in the earlobe can be from normal activity like a lifetime of wearing earrings, from trauma like an accidentally snagged earring, from congenital causes, skin cancer or even from special ear adornments like discs or grommets.

In some cases, patients who have undergone a facelift operation with a different surgeon can develop a deformity that is known as a "pixie ear" where the earlobe becomes elongated where it joins the facial skin.  This unsightly problem can be helped!

Dr. Holden has a great deal of experience in repairing every variety of earlobe deformity, from the most simple to complete earlobe replacement.  The good news is that in the vast majority of cases, the earlobes can be repaired in the office in such a way as to minimize scarring and provide full function - like being able to wear stud earrings and framing the face in a way that maintains symmetry and subtlety.

The cost of earlobe repair varies depending on complexity, but in even complex cases, the fee is affordable and scheduling is flexible.
