Dr. Holden's Scottsdale Neck Lift

The neck is a very mobile area and gets a lot of sun.  Add in each person's inherited characteristics and it should not be a surprise that as we age, many of us find the neck to be the most troubling.  Let's face it...we don't usually see ourselves from the side, but it only takes one photograph or glimpse to see the hanging skin that we remember seeing on a parent or grandparent.

The Scottsdale Neck Lift is an operation performed for women and men by Dr. Holden that is intended for those patients who have a more youthful face yet their neck skin is sagging, showing bands or a waddle.  Some patients who may even benefit from the Complete Facelift may just opt for a neck lift due to financial constraints or the desire to have a less involved procedure.

The operation takes approximately 2 1/2 hours, is usually done under IV sedation or general anesthesia, and has a 7-10 day recovery period.  In some cases, this procedure is combined with neck liposuction in order to get the best results.  Patients report little or no pain, often requiring no narcotic pain relief medication for the entire recovery.  There is generally a tight feeling in the neck, which lasts in most cases for a few weeks but does not limit normal activity.  The incisions are hidden and fade very quickly.
