The recovery for each patient depends upon the goals and chosen treatments. On average, patients can return to wearing a light, water-based makeup within 5-7 days of treatment. Laser skin resurfacing procedures are usually performed using topical anesthetic cream in conjunction with either local nerve blockade or brief IV sedation performed by an anesthesiologist. In either case, it takes less than an hour and Dr. Holden goes out of his way to make certain you have the least amount of discomfort.
